Visiting Awassa

Saturday we arrived to Awassa. Its only 1700 mts high (Addis 2400 and higher). So it is hot in Awassa, up to 30°C. And there is the risk to get malaria.
We reserved in a norwegian-mission-resort with a fantastic view to Awassa lake:
We had met with a colleague in Awassa, having dinner and a nice evening. The next morning (Sunday 4th March) we wanted to visit the fish market. Here the distance view to the fish market:
Look, this gigantic tree ! Under that tree the market life is going on:
We have bought fish from the boat directly. Some kids had cut it in pieces and washed the fillets in the water of the lake:
Look the Pelicans ! And the Marabus (below) likes fish too:
Early in the morning we passed by this big trees in the morning dust:
This is Africa ! It is beautyful, is'nt it?
